HARD CANDY

For many years Ive been admiring three great men in the music industry: the hitmaker Timbaland, uber cool Pharrell and pop sensation Justin Timberlake. Their makeover collaboration on the highly successful 2002 cd "Justified" made me more interested in their works. I''ve been wishing for a long time that they will produce an album for my idol. I knew from the start that their sounds will definitely match Madonna's music. Alas, on Madonna's 11th album entitled "Hard Candy" she enlisted these three hot music men.

In this album their union prove to be successful. She ingeniusly uses them to amplify her material. They created sounds that are so mainstream yet cutting edge. Finally she gave the techno music break. After sashaying her last 4 albums with a string of underground, moody trip hop, eurodisco, folktronica with repeated themes of kabbalah, motherhood and fame are all absent here. She's incorporated the urban R-n-B style sounds and sexy, hip-hop energy with her trademark pop sensibilities. The result is an album full of dancefloor-ready anthems and low-key ballads. This album is more danceable than 'Confessions on a dancefloor' . Every tracks has surprises and twists that will left the listener mesmerize.
Almost all the tracks here are radio friendly and single material. When was the last time she had an album like this? How I wish she releases as many singles from this cd. The songs Give it to me, Beat goes on, Heartbeat, Miles away, She's not me and Dance tonight are all brilliant and catchy as hell. Not to mention her biggest hit since Music, the Justin & Madonna duet "4 minutes" . One of the best moves Madonna had ever made. An awesome single and top the charts in 30 countries. This song made Madonna hot again in the music charts and radio stations alike. A perfect way to re introduce her music to the new set of young generation.

Hard Candy is so fresh and vibrant. The energy level she emanates here is the one missing from her recent albums. This is the album Im praying for since I became a fan during the Erotica era.Its like she is given a new jolt of fresh blood in her body. This definitely a thoroughly enjoyable album Madonna has put out in years. A pop album at its best. I think her 1986 True Blue album was the last time she gave her fans this kind of feeling. A throwback of Madonna of the 80's A carefree and unpretentious cd indeed.

Hard Candy is now one of my fave albums of Madonna. Until now I never get tired listening to this album since day one.I truly recommend this cd. Im not saying this because Im a Madonna fan. I guarantee that you will enjoy listening to this great album.

recommended tracks: give it to me, hearbeat, beat goes on, miles away and incredible

MARIAH CAREY'S NEW MOVIE

A remake of PLANET OF THE APES???? Bwahahaha!!!

SARAH GERONIMO & CHARICE PEMPENGCO

Two of the most annoying singers in recent memory:
Wala ng babaduy pa sa dalawang girl na ito! Yung looks pala na lang nila! yikes!
Pwede ba stop niyo na dalawa ang kakabirit at sigaw! So irritating na noh! Helo?!
songs. At meron pa part two yung movie niya! WTF! talk about super kabaduyan!
I predict this girl will not last noh! So grab na ang 15 minutes of fame!

RUFFA AND SHAWIE TGIF (1/30/09)

THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY

He he he.. Yun lang naman... i-edit ba???? he he he

KISAPMATA

MY ALL TIME FAVE FILIPINO FILM

KISAPMATA a 1981 classic film is definitely Mike De Leon's masterpiece. I saw this film almost 10 years ago at cinema one and still cant forget it. The story revolves around Vic Silayan,as a retired police sergeant with an unusual stranglehold over wife (Charito Solis) and daughter (Charo Santos). His enclosed world is threatened when Santos finds herself pregnant, and forced to marry a young man (Jay Ilagan). Silayan attempts to extend his influence over his son-in-law, who resists. The superb acting by the late Vic Silayan and Charito Solis complimented this brilliant film. The plot in itself was so intriguing enough coupled by the haunting & claustrophobic atmosphere of the setting made me instantly fell in love with this film. I remember when i was watching it, my mind was reeling with excitement as the simple tale turns nightmarish in the end.

I hope Mike Deleon will release this perfect movie on DVD ASAP!
