here we go again...
I really dont know what to do with Jason anymore. Yes we had another fight yesterday. He's an all time "pasaway" ever. It's like Ihave a 13 year old lover... As in! I really want to break up with him but deep in my heart I still very much in love. I feel that I really can't live without him. We've been together for almost six years. Honestly,im just thinking of the "cool off" option only rather than breakin up forever. I just want to teach him a lesson in regards with life and relationship. Im still hoping that he will grow up as a mature person. He's a nice person in fairness. I admit I am

Im also not a perfect person. So what am goin to do? Isnt it ironic that Im startin to be a good lover and igniting again the fire in our relationship these past few weeks then he did something bad again? Anyway my blood is super boiling everytime his "barkadas" crosses my mind.

FRENEMIES

Jason's latest friends from Gamban ext. Cabrera St. are so infuriating to the max. Everytime I see their faces makes my blood boil to the highest degree. They are young and full of arrogance. This is the group who once upon a time involved my lover in a controversial fracas. An air of bad influence clearly emanates from these people. Definitely not the kind of friends I wish my bf to be around with.
But I definitely find Oseph very cute though. One of my latest "community" crush. :)

Star Trek
First of all, I am a true blue fan of the "other" sci fi hit that deals with the "the force" since birth. So I am forever snobbish when it comes with the Star Trek franchise. I was really bored to death everytime I watch the revival on tv of this cheesy sci fi series during my childhood in the 80's . So when I learned the series is rebooted again on the big screen I am a lil bit apprehensive of watching it. But a change of mind forced me to become interested in trying to watch the new version. Many factored in with my decision to watch this film, First of all, it is directed by "Lost" director JJ Abrams, another is that its the first official big event movie of the summer and lastly there are lots of positive buzz surrounding the release. After a week of asking and forcing Jason to go with me to the theater to no avail, he finally gave in last night. We were like two non trekkies, without any expectations troop the MOA theater to see the world of Star Trek. I am already familiar with the name of the characters of this series but I definitely have no idea with their story. Anyway, the first 15 minutes of the movie really grabbed my attention. At that very moment, I knew that Ill be in great ride for the whole duration of the film. Thank god for Abrams in breathing new life again for the longtime dead series. Fans and non fans alike with no knowledge about Star Trek, I guarantee will definitely enjoy it. A balance mix of action and comedy made appealing to ordinary viewers. The film is peppered with lots of witty and humorous dialogue from the cast which reminds me of the first three Star Wars installment. The choice of actors are extremely good. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are superbly suited with the roles that they portray. I definitely had a blast everytime Spock and Kirk have a snappy argument scenes. Eventhough I am only newbie viewer Im still rooting out and supportive with the endeavors of the charming characters in the film. Laden with stunning special effects and fast pace story are thrown in the mix to come up with an amazing film. A sometimes perplexing plot yet so engaging really holds my attention throughout. Every scence really put a smile on my face which not happened for a very long time on my movie goin experience. Forgive me other Jedi fans for what I will say, this Star trek film is much way better than the two Star Wars prequel. I am not a full blown convert yet... I really just appreciate this film. The first best big blockbuster film of 2009. Watching Star Trek is an exhilirating experience indeed.

Gael and Diego Together again!

Gael
Seven years ago, Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna shocked the hell out of us with their infamous scene in the hit film "Y tu mama tambien". Now the two talented mexican actors are reunited again on the big screen in "Rudo Y cursi". But this time they will play brothers who become rivals in the world of soccer. Let me assure you that there would be no incestuous subtext in this latest film. LOL! Anyway ive been a long time fan of Mr. Bernal before he became famous. I remember seeing him for the first time during my "intl film fest buff" days in a movie theater with "Amores Peros" (2000). Since then I never miss the opportunity to see every single film of this daring actor.

Wendy and Lucy
Wendy and Lucy is one of the few gems I discovered and one of my top favorite films of 2008. The story revolves around a young enemployed woman named Wendy (Michelle Williams) embarking on a long journey by driving a car together with her lovable dog (Lucy) to seek a greener pasture in the state of Alaska . The films conflicts all started during Wendy's brief stopover to a bleak and unfamiliar town. That's where she encounters a domino effect petty disasters that would really affect her whole journey. The major plus of the film is Michelle Williams superb, understated and subtle performance that completely takes my breathe away. I am really in awe with the capacity of this talented woman since her breakthrough role in 2005's Brokeback Mountain. On the level she achieved today as one of the great actresses makes you really forget her involvement with the popular teen drama during the late 90's. Wendy is the most relatable character I've ever seen in years. I can really feel her pain and misery during the entire film. The connection she can make out of her character with the viewers is amazing. Another thing to admire is the realistic execution of indie director Kelly Reichardt. He created a topical film that mirrors the state of the people affected by the recent crisis not only of America but also in around the globe. The film is really meditative and simple yet totally engaging. I feel really immersed from the glut of recent viewing of commercial films after watching Wendy and Lucy. The sad heartbreaking ending trully lingers on my mind until the credits have rolled.

The Reader
.jpg) In the beginning of the film the story leans toward more to an unusual love story between a 15 year old boy Michael (David Kross) and a mature woman Hanna (Kate Winstlet) during the summer of post war Germany. It all started when Hanna seduces the boy on one of his visits tio her apartment. Their dalliances repeated everytime they see other. This is coupled by readings of a book by Michael to Hanna as somehow a foreplay with their intimate encounters. The illicit affair lasted only during the summer. Then the film turns to unexpected dark tone on the latter part. This is due for the fact that after long years, when Michael becomes a law student, they cross paths again during a Nazi trial involving Hanna accused of the deaths of hundred jews.

But it is not... It refreshingly sheds some light with a different perspective in regards to the dark part of the history during the Nazi era. Rather the film is about guilt and redemption. A personal guilt and guilt for the atrocities made bythose involved during the war. In connection to this are the complexities of human nature's action that is sometimes hard to comprehend and explain without ways for a solution. Watching this film should be viewed with an open mind to fully grasp what is really lurking behind the minds of these people. The tormented characters of Kate Winslet, Ralph Fiennes and David Kross are so intensely played with much gusto. A good film indeed.

Madonna and Lil Wayne?

Out of nowhere a snippet of a brand new Madonna and Lil Wayne song collaboration are surprisingly making rounds the net. The song is entitled "Triggerman". But there's no Madonna voice on the snippet. It might be from Madonna's upcoming greatest hits album due this fall. The full cd quality version of the song should be coming out soon. Whoa! After the Hard Candy cd, we'll get more hip hop Madonna in the future???

Breathless
Breathless/ A bout de Souffle (1960) is a groundbreaking and influential film of french director Jean Luc Godard. The film launched the french new wave movement (nouvelle vague) and movies were never the same again. It became uber famous because of the unconventional way of editing (jump cut) and by using hand held camera at that time. Well that's it..... I think Breathless is a bit overrated. Yes its status of being the pioneer in technical aspects of filmmaking cant be denied. But I am really not blown away nor intrigued by the plot either. There's much more other captivating classic films during this era that's worth of undivided attention.

Exclusive: the "other" revealed!
Jesus the guy who recently broke my heart.... after five months of a whirlwind romance with him and being unfaithful to my original love of my life, I finally decided to call it quits. He was the one who inspired me to write poems for the past few months. The guy who treid to re-energized my slumbering heart. I admit I fell in love with him. Never felt this kind of thing in a long while. Junior knows the strategy how to make me fall in love. He was very consistent in everything for being romantic. He brought me to a new heights that Ive never been. He was the sweetest guy i've ever met... I thought he was the "too good to be true" guy. I thought he's the next best thing.... But I am so wrong... It was just all for the show. A great actor indeed! He's a filthy liar ever to be born alive on earth! The painful experience with Junior made me a cynical person. In the past, I was forever the hopeful person in terms of love. For the first time in my entire life, as stupid or as cliche as it may sound, I started to believe from now on that no straight guy will ever love a gay person. For all the queers out there, forgive me if my thinking is so backward or so light years away from you guys....I must admit I really enjoy being with him even its painful. But thats enough... At least I have the good memories that Im goin to keep for the rest of life. Well, regarding with my straight lover Jason its another story.... Im sorry love. I promise this is the end.

SALO

Salo is the most shocking film I've ever seen in my entire life. The film is very controversial made in 1975 and directed by the great Italian director Pier Paolo Pasolini. It is loosely based on the works of Marquis De Sade's "120 days of Sodom" and Dante's "Inferno". Pasolini created a highly symbolic and well made artistic endeavor. The film deals with lots of degradation, cruelty, torture, sexual abuse towards young boys and girls. One of the infamous scenes shows a young woman forced to eat feces and later a banquet of feces were also served to the whole cast. I squirmed with disgust while viewing the controversial scenes. Salo has the most violent scenes ever to be put into a film. At story's end, the children are gruesomely murdered some scalped, tongue and eyes cut out. Living at present in an era of mushrooming violent films like "Saw" franchise, Im still disturbed, stunned and left cold after watching this classic masterpiece.
FYI, the 1998 Criterion DVD edition was withdrawn due to some licensing conflicts and became a collectors item. The price of the original DVD ranges from $250 to $1000, making it the most expensive sought after DVD.
