WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth) is the only living and last robot of its kind on Earth. The people already left the ruined planet 700 years ago due to environmental problems and living comfortably in a large community space ship. His work is basically to clean up the mess left by the people. Doing the same job forever. As time goes by WALL E developed an individuality. Then everything changes when a sleek robot named EVE (Extra terrestial Vegetation Evaluator) arrive on earth with a mission to search for an organic life. They fell in love tru the course of the film.
First i had doubts before watching this film. Coz i heard beforehand that the whole film has no dialogue, no action, no other characters etc. But when I finally watch it I was so completely hook by the charm of the robot WALL E. He is one of the most sympathetic and unforgettable character in recent cinema. A superb loveable character who warm me up in the movie. I almost forgot that Im watching an animated film and this means that it was so good. This film wasc
visually powerful with a very thoughtful brilliant storytelling. What attracted me most was the love story as the core of the film. The emotional impact of the romantic relationship of the two characters resonates deeply in the film that punch my bleeding heart. WALL E really made me literally laugh and cry. Most of my fave parts of the movie were during the first half. The film started with a gentle and silent execution that was so engaging. Lots of humorous scenes that were simply wonderful. A dash of slapstick comedy sprinkled through out the film. The courtship scenes were so heartbreaking which almost made my heart swell with joy. It also brought tears on my eyes during the last scene when they went back to earth and WALLE didnt recognize EVE. A big jolt on my knee to be reminded of the importance of our precious memories with our love ones that we only save on our minds. The two robots I observed were more expressive than the human actors Ive seen in some actual films. Even without words their emotions speak for themselves. It conveys emotions through action. An awesome execution of the director that you can see the emotions on WALL E's eyes. With its facade of socio political and environmental issues which a little bit preachy on the second half of the film, the topic might be too deep for little children. Nonetheless, an entertaining film for all ages I must say. In the month of award seasons forget Slumdog and Buttons. For the first time in my film buff life I would say that this film truly deserve to win a Best Picture. Another classic animated film in the history of cinema.
